Qura, the first startup in Southern Italy for medical 3D printing
The use of additive manufacturing (3D printing) keeps expanding in the global healthcare industry. Major applications include: realization of surgical guides, orthopedic implants and prostheses, medical device prototyping, creation of anatomical replicas for surgical planning and educational purposes.
However, in Italy - especially in the South - the use of 3D printing is still very limited in the medical field. With our platform we want to make this technology more accessible to everyone, including physicians and surgeons willing to take advantage of its clinical potential and students seeking a new approach to study the human body.

Cardiovascular diseases are the main cause of death both in Italy and worldwide. In 2019, ischemic heart disease and stroke accounted for more than 18 million deaths globally and 220.000 in Italy (about 40% of deaths in the country). Cardiovascular diseases are also the leading cause of hospitalization in Italy.
